Remember Travis and Ashley? Yes, I know, I asked you that in the last blog post. I guess I can’t stop sighing over how cute they are so my blog posts keep going back to them. There’s a little story behind some of the fun shots we got during their Love Birds session that I’ve been meaning to blog about. Fairly frequently during photo sessions I find myself wanting to do something spontaneous that requires the assistance of strangers. (I’m using the term “stranger” loosely since I’ll talk to pretty much anyone on the street) In this instance, it required the assistance of a stranger with a sailboat. We didn’t have to look far, as the first person we approached was a friendly guy, Brian, who let us temporarily take over his boat. He and his dog were enjoying the warm weekend sun, and were happy to have some company. The cherry on top was Brian’s sense of humor. (I’m not exactly a stand up comedian and my jokes are corny, at best) He had Travis and Ashley rolling, and all the while I snapped away, thrilled to be catching a fun moment. If you’re ever in Annapolis and happen to visit the harbor, be sure to look for Brian. If you’re nice, he might let you on his boat, and he might even tell you a joke.
